This soap is outstanding for problematic complexions. I've had oily skin and cystic acne since I was a teen. Over the years, I've spent a fortune on Dermatologists and tried just about every product on the market with mediocre to no results. I've gotten more strategic in dealing with it and Melanex Gold is pivotal to my routine. The soap is drying but not too much if you use it three times a week as suggested. It keeps my skin clear and soaks up the oil which leads to break outs and cysts. If you use it more than that (for an exceptionally bad breakout) it works like a chemical peel, drying up the acne and gradually peeling away dead skin. Because of this soap, I walked around all summer with no makeup and no blemishes. Also, I no longer wear heavy makeup because it isn't necessary. I must say that in conjunction with using the soap, I continued doing the following: drinking 64 ounces of water per day, eating lean protein, fruits and veggies and taking dietary supplements for my hair, skin and nails including collagen, but the game changer and the missing piece to the puzzle was this soap. My results are wonderful. If you suffer from similar complexion issues, give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Remember to protect your hairline with a headband when you use this soap. Its ingredients aren't good for hair.
